In case you have not looked at The Reality Hacker video page lately there is a very interesting series on YouTube. It is an eighteen part series given by applied physicist Thomas Campbell that has to do with reality as a virtual construct. It is definitely worth looking at.

I also went ahead and bought the book mentioned by Cambell in the series—The Universe Solved by Jim Elvige. It covers similar territory as The Holographic Universe but is vastly more up-to-date. It wasn't a perfect book, but it was definetely worth reading. The book helped me think in fresh directions, understand more recent scientific theories and put some new pieces together.
